Chico’s Pearland Town Center will host a special fashion show, book signing and renewal workshop with us on recovering from divorce or broken relationships, Sunday March 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 11200 Broadway, Suite 720, Pearland, TX 77584, 713-240-1368. The workshop will be presented by the authors of Divorce. Wilderness. Peace… A 40 Day Healing Journey book and workbook, Paula Drew Fleming and Alexis Thal Yancey. The authors are accomplished, award winning broadcast journalists and divorcees who are on a mission to help women and men jump start navigating the wilderness of divorce to find peace in their lives again.
Alexis and Paula will read excerpts and sign copies of their book and workbook which take readers on a 40 day healing journey dealing with the grief and roller coaster of emotions involved in a break up or divorce. The authors share their intimate personal stories about their divorces and recovery through four 10-day chapters. Each day presents scriptures to ponder and journaling exercises for expressing thoughts and feelings and what next steps to take.
The workshop will offer Chico’s customers several exercises to tap into their feelings about their relationships and see where their opportunities are on their journey of rebirth. A key part of renewal is getting a new perspective on life, including a reassessing how you appear to others. Chico’s models will show off some new looks in a fashion show for workshop participants and store wardrobe consultants will provide consultations. Refreshments will be served.
